Hail & storm damage
What usually goes wrong
Oklahoma gets a lot of hail. Claims Journal reported in April 2026 that Oklahoma had the fifth-highest total of State Farm hail claim payouts for 2025. After a storm, start from the ground: take dated photos of dented gutters, downspouts, vents and car hoods, shingle pieces in the yard and any new ceiling stains. Stay off the roof.
An insurance claim is between you and your insurance company. We are a referral line, not a roofer or a claims service, and we don't file or manage claims. Read your policy, call your insurer or agent to report damage, and ask the roofer you are connected with for a written inspection and estimate that you can share with your adjuster.
Be careful with door-to-door storm chasers who show up after a hailstorm. Before signing anything, ask for the company's Oklahoma Construction Industries Board registration, a local address and proof of insurance, and never sign over control of your claim to someone you just met.
